Speaker Instructions

We are pleased to share with you more detailed instructions for the different presentations in the NRR2020 online conference. The program of the conference can be found in the webpage by Mid June 2020 where it will updated regularly. Please check the information concerning your presentation!

The program of the conference consists of oral or panel presentations and poster presentations, but due to having the conference in online environment the oral and panel presentations shall mainly be prepared beforehand. Please find more information below and do not hesitate to contact conference team members for further advice.

Oral and panel presentations

Oral and panel presentation sessions will consist of previously recorded platform presentations followed by live discussion. During the discussion the audience may pose questions to the presenters, who shall be present in the live session in question. The session is led by a scientific chair and moderated by technical moderators.

Oral and panel presentation is a presentation with a length of 10 minutes (oral) or 7 minutes (panel). Due to concise presentation time, we highly recommend you to concentrate on the most important points of your research only in your presentation, e.g. presenting only the main results instead of background information. The recommended maximum number of slides is 10 (oral) or 7 (panel). Please use the template available in the conference website.

The oral and panel presentation will be recorded beforehand by the presenter. The presentation shall consist of slides and video/voice of the presenter. The presentation may be recorded using free ZOOM software, which may be downloaded in here. Alternatively you can also use another software for recording. Please see the separate instructions for recording the video. The recorded oral presentation will be displayed in the session appointed in the program. The recordings will also be available for the access of conference audience in the conference platform. Outside the session time the audience may leave questions to the presenter via the session chat or by contacting the presenter one-to-one.

We kindly ask you to upload the recording of your presentation and the presentation slides prior to the 15th of August 2020 using a link that was sent to you in the beginning of August by email. The adequate format for your recording file is mp4.

Posters

Posters are stationed in the poster exhibition section of the conference platform. Please follow the poster template provided in the conference website. The standard size for the poster is 84,6 x 127 cm.

The audience may access the poster exhibition at any time during the conference. Poster exhibition will be divided into themes and each theme will have an open chat. The audience may contact the presenter via the poster theme chat or by contacting the presenter one-to-one in the conference platform.

In addition to a poster in electronic format, the presenters are kindly asked to record a short video/voice tape introducing themselves and their research. The recommended length of the video is one minute. The video may be recorded using free ZOOM software, which may be downloaded in here. Alternatively you can also use another software for recording. Please see the separate instructions for recording the video. The recording will be linked to the poster in the poster section. This video/voice recording is not required from the poster presentations but highly recommended.

We kindly ask you to send your poster and your video/voice recording prior to the 15th of August 2020 using a link that was sent to you in the beginning of August by email. The adequate format for the poster is .pdf and for the recording file mp4. We kindly ask you to send the poster and recording in separate files.
